C is back
Favourite programming code
After years behind Java, C is back at the top of the polls as the worlds favourite programming language. According to the Tiobe index C has been 15 to 20 per cent of the market share for almost a decade.
However its number one rival, Java has slipped as it loses ground to other similar languages. JavaFX script that is now approaching the top 20. The TIOBE Programming Community index gives an indication of the popularity of programming languages. The index is updated once a month.
It uses search engines Google, MSN, Yahoo!, Wikipedia and YouTube to calculate in which most lines of code have been written.
