Hardware maker Dell has decided to remove cathode ray tube monitors from its lists.

A spokesperson for the company said the move was 'eco-friendly' as it would eliminate almost 20 million pounds of lead and lead compounds from the environment.

The fact that few people buy traditional monitors these day,s now that the flat LCD screen is king, has nothing to do with the plan.
