Still no confirmed launch date
According to CNET Asia, Asus will launch its Eee Keyboard by the end of April.
Oddly enough, CNET learned about the launch from a consumer electronics
and furniture retailer in Singapore, which makes sense. However, the
Eee Keyboard won't be as cheap as flatpack furniture, as it is expected
to retail at around $500, which is quite a lot for an Atom-based PC,
even if it's crammed into a keyboard.
The Eee Keyboard will feature an Atom processor, although we're not
sure exactly which SKU Asus will use. It relies on costly SSD storage
and it has a 5-inch touchscreen, both of which are responsible for the
rather high price tag.
