Redfaced Apple has been caught with its pants down over the license for Safari for Windows.
According to News.com, if you look at the fine print in the Safari license you are not actually allowed to install the software on a Windows machine. Yesterday it ran a story about how the license demanded that Safari only be run on Apple branded machines.
"The software allows you to install and use one copy of the Apple Software on a single Apple-labeled computer at a time,” the license warns.
Clearly, the outfit had not got the hang of running its software on Wintel machines and soon after the story was released, Apple hurried to update the license.
